Cooper (and Carr) will be heavily promoted in the #2 media market in the country. His endorsement money from Nike and others could rival his football money. If the team plays well - and he's a big part of it - the fact that he's in such a large market will help his national brand.

Being drafted by Oakland only sucks if you stay in Oakland.
