LSU's tDecline... is it even a thing? Let's take a look

Since Les Miles' arrival for the 2005 season:
Since their 2007 National Championship season:
Since their 2011 SEC Championship:
If we look at the initial graph, it doesn't appear to be anything more than normal fluctuation.
Perhaps the decline stigma is due to the proverbial wind being taken out of the sails following the rematch, and looking at the numbers produces some confirmation bias. Or, perhaps tDecline is real. I'm not sure if there's any way of knowing at this point.

Did you really make graphs?
Now make one to show the increase of LSU players in the NFL over that same time span

I applaud you for the time you took to go create some excel graphs regarding an opposing team.
Definitely doesn't come off as obsessed.

Literally took about 2 minutes to create the graphs and about a minute to load them into photobucket.
Not hard to plug in win totals and years and click save.

To pat myself on the back for a solid thread.

Sure it's cool to produce a ton of NFL players and have a lot of players drafted but I don't think the amount of NFL players one team has is really a measure for success

Well, since you've already invested this much time, can you do a Fourier analysis on this. I think you can generate a model for it, determine if/when the next championship run will be, and then bet the farm.

I think maybe he's referring to LSU losing those players to the draft, which is a fair argument, but doesn't change the outcome. It may even raise some other red flags - like why there have been underclassmen jump into the draft to be drafted in later rounds when coming back for one more year could have made them millions more.

How many people yall have drafted last year?

I hate when Bama fans make these type of threads but this is gold. God job sir.
