I think the team played better for Treon, and I think Treon was more confident than Jeff, but Jeff knew the offense FAR BETTER than Treon, and it showed.
That being said, Jeff made bad decisions passing the football. Treon, not as much.
Treon did have 5 fumbles though with 3 lost. Jeff only had 2.
Jeff had 10 INT though.
Neither were great last year, but all the statistics show out that the UF offense was much better with Treon at QB.

Easy to be more confident when everyone supports you.

Treon had 4 with half as many passes, and several of Jeff's were direct results of bad receiver play -- dropped balls or horribly run routes.
Needless to say: Treon sucked last year, just as bad (if not worse as far as accuracy goes, especially since Jeff threw twice as much).
As I said, and in total conclusion: Grier will start. Treon has zero chance unless he's had a revolution in the off-season.
