Fun first game Aggies. Just got back from Alex Box. Both ball clubs are extremely good this year.
I was wondering what the word is on Gideon? I thought he was your normal starter at 3rd? He's hitting around .330.
So is he hurt? In the doghouse? Didn't make the trip? Or trying a faster 3rd baseman out after the bunt singles given up by Arkansas last week?
Figured he'd be the guy Pinch Hitting in the 9th or starting.

Just curious as to why one of their best hitters sat the bench.
The new 3B delivered the tying RBI, but after pulling your DH Nau, why not replace him with Gideon?

He's been scuffling at the plate and his defense is always awful so Nottebrok got the start at 3B. When we start Nau at catcher then Gideon normally DHs.
I'm really not sure why he didn't PH there. I didn't keep score but I know we pinch ran for Nottebrok and pinch hit for Birk with McLendon. We've used Notte, McClendon and GIdeon at 3rd this year. I'm not 100% sure on the DH rules (Nau was DHing so the ph Hinsley became the DH). Maybe that had something to do with it

yes the game winning hit was past him at 3rd

Are you mad that he didn't dive and at least try to keep the ball in the infield? I know I'd be pissed of Hale didn't lay out in that situation.
