What sucks about this stat is that 4 of those 6 losses were 1-run losses going down to the wire. Hell, one was in the bag until an over-night weather delay allowed Arky to regroup. We could easily be 11-2 in that same stretch.

Not making exuses, but your selective stat puts the Aggie Team in a false light.

winning those close games is what separates good teams from great teams, just saying. it's not a selective stat. in baseball, you're going to play a lot of close 1 or 2 run games throughout the course of a season. the teams that find a way to win those are the ones that separate themselves from the pack.

ETA: not to mention your schedule the first 24 games was not nearly as competitive as your last 13

Not really.

They have lost 7 of the last 14 sec games. Fact.

You can look at it in depth and play the "what if" game (aka moral victory), but there is no "false light" about the 7-7 mark.
