I'm pretty sure a lumberjack is smarter than that. Who thinks its a good idea to run in the direction the tree is falling.

Dude is extremely lucky that tree was obviously dead and rotten. It snapped right when it hit him. If that had been a live green tree, that due would be toast.

Buddy of mine was killed about ten years ago trying to save his dog as the tree was falling .... and he was a man among boys.

Tree crushed him like a bug.

I did tree removal for a couple summers in/after high school. I still say that's the hardest work I've done. I know the guy looks like an idiot, but weird things happen when dealing with trees. I remember one of my first days I tried to stop a rolling 3 foot section of log...it didn't end well for me.
