I plan on being there for as long as I can. Mobile seems to be growing and so does the firm I'm going to work for. Other than being transferred or god forbid being fired I plan being in Mobile for quite some time. I've heard getting involved with the Mardi Gras things is a great opportunity to meet people. I'll have to get into that. A couple of the younger guys I worked with last summer did that and they love it.

Your best option might be to live your family that's in Mobile for like a month (if they're cool with that, have the space, etc). Work out an agreement with them...pay what the average apartment in the area costs for that month.
