Anyway, according to Chubb, Spurrier never showed up when he was there. Both times he was on campus something came up and that changed his mind. He also said Butch Jones was the hardest to turn down because he had such a good relationship with him and liked him so much.
He was a lazy recruiter at UF (and it usually showed against Bowden back then).

He could afford to do that at UF tho with talent all over the state. He can't afford to do that at USC. He needs to get a better recruiting coordinator so he's at least there when recruits like Chubb show up.
