Should I automatically believe it because they are experts?
Is this McDonald's fry really a fry? McDonald's does make money off of it, so they can't be trusted to tell us anything. Bill Gates makes money selling computers, so we can't trust his word on computers.
Are you kidding me?

What about the research showing GMOs are perfectly healthy and ok? Its funded by the GMO corporations.
Doctors and people who study health of humans seem to think they are healthy and ok? But since they make a living off of human health, we can't take their findings as fact right?

McDonalds isn't putting out research on the content of their fries. I have no idea what's in them, but it tastes like potatoes.
I can't trust Bill Gates's word on how well Microsoft's computers compare to Apple's. That should be a given.

No, we can't. We have to examine the doctors' possible motives or biases. Everyone has a bias, usually connected to their pocketbook. This is basic political science. What the hell is wrong with you? You seem like one of those people who thinks "I read it on the internet, so it must be true. They can't put things on there that aren't true."
Doctors are people too. Going through 4 years of undergrad and 3 years of medical school don't somehow make you more trustworthy. You are now a man with a doctorate. That makes you educated, it does not make you trustworthy.
