Next year ain't gonna be like a Stafford fighting for playing time over JT3 & Joe Cox... Brice & Park are both Elite 11 QB's in their own right...

Just for the record, JT3 was a 4* and the 10th ranked QB in America coming out of HS. Obviously he was never destined to be an All American or anything, but it's not like he was just some walkon off the street. And he was a 5th year senior in 2006.

The bottom line is we should play whoever gives us the best chance to WIN ballgames. Period. For all we know, whoever starts this year could just pull a Buck and hand it off to our RBs every game and hit a nice pass or two and get us to 10 wins. Just because we may be a successful TEAM this year doesn't mean that the starter should be grandfathered in for 2016. There is no doubt Eason will be the most talented with the most potential and upside on the roster from the second he gets on campus. It will really all boil down to how quickly he rises to the top (assuming he does, of course).

In big time football it would be nearly impossible for him to step in and be an all star in game 1. We don't need to throw him to the wolves, especially since somebody will already have a year of experience. But we're not in the feelings business, we need to play the best. If and when Eason gives us the best chance to win, he should be starting. Whether it's game 2 or game 10.
