While we know that spacetime is made up of components such as the Higgs Field and Boson, that's about it for now. We know that the Higgs Field assigns mass to particles as they move through it.
This suggests that spacetime interacts with what we think of as the physical universe and would obey the Second Law of Thermodynamics, making it finite.
