Barnes is an "OK" hire, it hard to say any coach who was outcoached by Pel is a "good" hire.
Pearl is extremely over-rated, people buy in too much to his rah-rah antics.
Both are better than Howland.

We will have to agree to disagree. And although Pearl won that game he also had a helluva team that year and TBH, one game in basketball doesn't really matter much.
Personally, I think Barnes is the perfect hire for us. There are still questions, especially with the current roster. But he's won more games, including tourney games than Pearl could ever dream of. And I say that as someone who loves Pearl.
