DV accusation is not a mandatory arrest or pro-arrest in Alabama. Even then, those states that have mandatory arrest policies, there still needs to be probable cause for the arrest (although studies show they fail to find probable cause as the conviction rates are really low).

What cops do and what lawyers do are two entirely different things. 9/10 times, if a woman accuses a man of choking her, the man is getting arrested. The lawyers can sort out whether is actually happened.

I'll disagree on the failure to find PC. Uncooperative victims make it damned hard to get a conviction even when you've got good PC like a mark.

As an EMT, I went to one where the guy choked the victim so hard there was a clear imprint of his hand on her neck. By trial time, she'd completely changed her story. Said she was falling off the couch and he caught her . Total BS and yet the jury acquitted him.
