The thing I like about Saban is that he literally does not give a single frick what the media or any of you think. He does things his way, and they work for him. I do not agree with every decision he makes, but you have to respect a guy who just goes about his business with not a care about being PC or pleasing the mediots. He took a risk and got burned, happens to risk takers from time to time.
When people are getting harmed from his dumb decision making he should learn to start caring... Say Geno Smith stays with the team and drives drunk and kills someone, how would this affect his don't care attitude... Obviously the kid has a problem..

Would getting kicked off the team make it more or less likely for Geno Smith to drive drunk?

So if Geno is an alcoholic, Saban kicking him off the team will cure him? That will force him to never drink and drive again? I would kick him off too, just to set a precedent but it is foolish to pretend kicking him off would keep the roads safer if a guy has a problem. He will have way more resources to deal with a true issue at Bama than on the streets back home. That is a fact whether you like the decision or not.
