Cliff is a dinosaur. He's a good coach but he's too old. He's 70 years old and he's had major NCAA infractions at Auburn.
Gottfired is just not a good coach. He gets NBA level players somehow and then underachieves with them and goes to the NCAAT occasionally.

All true. To me, someone like Ellis would be better than whiffing horribly on a huge risk like Prohm. He would at least not suck for a few years until a better option came up if UT couldn't get a solid hire this go around.
