It's been pretty solid. I don't know if I'd say we have a lights out guy, though McClain has been pretty damn solid, but we really don't have much drop off from our #1 to say our #5 or #6(guys who aren't getting a whole lot of opportunity).
I think that our Sunday starter (Fairbanks - JR) was anticipated to be our Friday night starter last fall but this JUCO kid, McClain has come in and taken the job and not looked back. Then the Houck kid (FR) who throws on Saturday is legit.
Behind them we have a senior (Miles) who was our Saturday starter last year, a freshman (De Oca) with more upside than Houck but a bit more control problems. That kid touches 98+ on the gun and has yet to give up a hit or an earned run in limited appearances. Then former 2nd round draft pitch Rash just hasn't been able to gain any traction as a weekend starter with the job everyone else has done despite a decent 2.00 ERA.
Williams has grasped onto the closer role. And we have 2 guys who have done a pretty damn good job as set up men.
