Of course if we look at the last 50 years.
UGA has 33 head to head wins in football, 8 Conf titles , 1 NC
GT has 17 wins in fooball , 3 Conf titles inc the vacated 1, 1 NC
And while GT is ranked nationaly above UGA, UGA is ranked higher than ever SEC school not UF and Vandy.
I'm all for GT coming to SEC no problem , let's get Clemson and FSU and UT and send Mizz and Arky back to the Big 12.
That puts 2 teams in every state except Kentucky and LSU , but I like them and are original members.
4 pods
UGA
GT
FSU
UF
USC
CLEMSON
VANDY
UT
AU
UA
LSU
UK
UT
TEXAM
OM
MSU

That's rather creative but would never happen. If something like that were to happen breaking into 4 pods might make sense initially but things would quickly deteriorate once everyone started fighting to keep traditional rivalry games like Bama/Tenn or Ugag/Aub. etc...
For me personally I miss playing Tennessee and Auburn every year and the occasional Bama game. We use to play UF some as well in the 70's. UT and Auburn were fun rivalry games. Bama and GT have a very bitter history but I'm pretty sure after many years had passed Dodd and Bryant buried the hatchet and Bryant actually wanted Tech back in the SEC in the late 70's prior to us joining the ACC. Of course the mutts and Vince the prince did everything in their power to block it and were successful.
