Good coaches get fired for things other than winning or losing. We did the right thing by allowing Stansbury to retire. We didn't do so well in picking a replacement but part of the problem was that good coaches knew what a mess Stansbury was leaving behind.
Richard Williams was a better "coach". He was dismissed, too - and it wasn't because he couldn't win.
