Yep. If the beautiful game were our number one sport, we'd rival Brazil for the most world cups. Imagine guys like Michael Vick streaking up the wing, LeBron at forward, Magic distributing from the midfield. Would be glorious.

Nah. It doesn't really work that way in soccer. If it did, Ghana would be in every World Cup final. We don't currently (and never have had) have the infrastructure to produce elite soccer players in the US.
Even given the proper training (if we had it) Lebron is probably too tall to be a good field player. Same with Magic.
