re: Fellow southerners - why do we keep electing fools?

Rand Paul is doing the same thing. I was hoping he would ignore the social issues and campaign against big government. Unfortunately he has to kiss social conservatives' asses to get support against important economic concerns. I wouldn't be a politician for all the gold in Fort Knox.
