I’d be surprised if he ever earns another big contract. He has what 4 kids? One of which is graduating from middle school. He’ll be broke in 3 years.

Move over Mandarich, JaMarcus Russell, Brian Bosworth, Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf....there is another one to join the all-time biggest bust crowd

Richardson is on a tier all by himself. 2 first round picks were used on him by 2 different teams. That's a whole nother level of bust. I guess LSU just took it all out of him.

he was more successful than Russell, Leaf, and Smith.

Leaf played in 25 games in 4 seasons and had 14 TDs, 36 INTs, and 3666 yards passing.

Russell played in 31 games in 3 season and had 18 TDs, 23 INTs, and 4083 yards passing

Akili Smith played in 22 games in 4 seasons and had 5 TDs, 13 INTs, and 2212 yards passing.

Mandarich played for 7 years and had 47 starts.

I couldn't find accurate stats on Bosworth but he played 3 season, IIRC.

Trent Richardson has played in 42 games and rushed for 2032 yards, 3.3 avg, 17 TDs, and caught 113 passes for 913 yards and 2 TDs.

Looking at that, I think Ryan Leaf is still the undisputed GOATBust but Akili Smith was almost as bad, maybe worse, depending how you see it.
