Can we not think over militarized police forces AND thugs shooting police officers are both shitty things?

Of course you can. But Wilson/Ferguson isn't an example of over-militarization. Wilson was pretty much a standard beat cop performing standard beat cop duties, until an altercation involving Brown took place.

You wanna condemn no-knock warrants, raids on the wrong houses, and the use of grenades/flashbangs around children in residential areas? You've got plenty of partners there.

Wilson v Brown was not a case of over-militarization.

Ferguson Police force is a different matter. They followed the business model of Sherrif of Nottingham from the Robin Hood cartoon.

People are so backed into one corner or the other that they are incapable of dealing with things on a case by case basis.

For some, ANY time a cop shoots someone it was unjustified. For other, ANY time a "thug" gets shot it was justified.

The fact that Michael Brown was unarmed doesn't change the fact that the evidence shows VERY CLEARLY that he tried to inflict serious bodily harm on a police officer. He even tried to take his gun. Any person legally carrying a weapon would have been justified in shooting him, including an officer.
