Right, but when defenses are forced to make a choice, they still chose to stack the box against UGA. The fact that Mason was more capable of punishing them for that choice doesn't mean there were any less players near the line of scrimmage when they made that choice anyway. It just made UGA better at offense.

Stacking the box has nothing to do with the plays that were called though. I guarantee that defenses had only 1 safety playing back WAYYYY more often than they did against us. I remember several occasions where the safeties didn't even pretend like they had zones to cover in the defensive backfield, they rushed up to the LOS like linebackers.
