On and off are both good.
Sometimes we undress each other and sometimes we don't even take our shirts off
Sometimes it's on a cold floor and sometimes we're sweating and slipping under a comforter.
It's all good. I can't tell you which is the best. My recommendation is to try each one thoroughly and repeatedly.
