So kinda like Norm Stewart?

Cmon man, I don't think he's jesus but he was one game away with Mizzou and two games with UAB. Who knows what happens when the ball bounces differently....

I recognize both Norm Stewart and Mike Anderson as good coaches, not great or elite ones though. Their differing styles won games, but never pushed over the edge. Norm's teams always played hard on defense, crashed the glass, but seemingly never had that guard/wing player that could take over a game with a mismatch. Anderson's Mizzou teams usually struggled against elite big men with the smarts to slow the tempo of the game. UConn in the Elite Eight in 2009 comes to mind. Hasheem Thabeet destroyed us, even though we played excellent, there was no way we were going to win that game.

That was a thoughtful, reasonable, and well argued point there. You should apologize to everyone here!

I even tend to agree with it. I was here for Nolan ball so I know it has its ups and downs.

I still think KA should get another season to put his system and players on the court. Mizzou just doesn't have the players. Bring Dean Smith back from the dead, have his Asst. coach be a healthy Pat Summit, and have John Wooden's bagman ready to distribute cash and Mizzou's team this season would still have a losing record.

It is probably going to take a year or two before something comes together... and it may very well be that KA is not the coach to get you there in the long haul.
