Hale has been an abysmal shooter until the last couple games, and Tarrant has been a very inefficient 3 pt shooter. The fact that you didn't mention Cooper and mentioned Hale confuses me. 2. Even with the much smoother offense we had at the beginning of the season, we were missing 3s like crazy. Shooting is certainly not our only problem, but it is a major problem. That also shouldn't be an excuse for Grant. These are all his players...

Kind of sad that they all were suppose to be known as good shooters when coming to Bama besides Levi. Tarrant even killed us one year SMH.

Hope I'm wrong but my money is on Grant being at Bama next year. If he can get to 20 and a win in the SEC Battle will bring him back.

Speaking of high school players who had reputations as great shooters but weren't able to live up to it at Bama:

@PackPride: NC State's Trevor Lacey is a finalist for the Jerry West Award given to the nation's best shooting guard.

His 3Pt% this year is higher than his FG% both years at Bama. This is why I always dispute the claim that the issue is recruiting or talent. When 4* and 5* recruits consistently play like 3*s, the issue is coaching and talent development

Tarrant was inconsistent and streaky at Tulane as well. I think everyone expected him to tone down the attempts and it would help his percentages, and that didn't happen. Hale in HS was actually more of a killer midrange guy in HS who could step out and hit the three. Sadly we don't have an offense that can get him those midrange shots unless he creates them himself. Coop, Lacey, Norris, and Mitchell were the best HS shooters that we landed.
