There is still a lot to be positive about. I love that we have so many young guys, and as they improve this team is going to get a whole lot better. I would rather have a high ceiling than be seeing all we've got early.

As Hump, Rooker, Gridley, Collins, Spruill, and Robson see more bats this team will get a lot better offensively.

Defensively, I think you have to move Laster to Sunday and let Tatum come out of the pen to close for 2 weekend games. That leaves you with a strong relief guy on Friday/Sunday and Sexton is a threat to pitch a complete game on Saturday. Gets you something to work on until guys develop.

As Fitts gets more experience closing, and guys like Brown, Houston, and Mintz get more reps, the pitching on this team will improve. I would rather us be young than just plain bad.

Hell, I don't really think there is anything wrong with them, except for mentally.

Cohen said it best yesterday, they cannot pitch tentatively. At Dudy Noble, the ball park is going to keep people from scoring runs if you throw strikes. We have one of the best defensive teams in the country. Throw fricking strikes and let your defense work. Simple as that. They're pitching like little pussies. Throw it across the plate.

Now he's not saying groove every fastball down the middle but for the love of god throw strikes.
