So did we dodge a bullet yesterday or are they really that good of a team?

I'm honestly not sure what to think. We don not look very good right now. On the other hand, coming back and getting the W was something this team really needed. The pen is really worrying me right now, we don't have anyone I trust to close a game. Mints showed signs of it last night, I really had high hopes for Daniel Brown in that situation and he just didn't deliver. Not comforting that our best shot for improvement at closer is Fitts shaving his beard.

From an offensive standpoint, we have to stop playing with the lineup so much IMO. Absolutely have to have the guys with pop on their bat in the game and they need their reps to settle in, specifically Rooker and Collins. I think Hump is starting to come around as well, if he and Rooker develop as batters over the course of the season we could really have something nice there. I would like to see those 3 in the position to drive home more RBI's. Not a fan of having more than 2 consecutive guys in the order who only hit singles. Maybe start the order something like Heck-Robson-Collins-Hump-Gridley-Rea. Personally I would swap Collins and Robson but if Heck gets on base there is a 1000% chance that Cohen wants to bunt him over, so Robson is your best bet there.

It just seems to me like College Baseball as a sport is far more competitive top to bottom than any other.

This is definitely true. College baseball is so much more competitive, I think it's because you don't need to be tall and stacked to play it so you aren't straight away restricted by genetics as much.

Good points. Bullpen is definitely letting us down this year. We'll see what Stover can do this evening.

This is not going to change under Cohen. You just have to except it. I don't mind it as much as other people.

Our offense is really good right now as far as getting on base. We just need some guys to show some power.
