It's possible that Haith's answer is the right answer to the wrong question. The roster would have been different, the program still in a continuum. But the continuum was downhill. 20 games maybe, but with what? An NIT invitation?
Here are the right questions:
Would Haith have led this program back to where it needed to be? Nope? Were we at increased risk of NCAA violations with him at the helm? Yep. Was he a lying sack who misled the AD about his background and deserved to be fired for that alone? Sure.
I went on record before this season as saying that KA was an awful hire, and I still believe that. But I don't question his integrity and I do think next year and the year after will be better than this year. Will he take this program back to winning the conference occasionally and regular Top 25 rankings? I want him to, but I believe there's no way. Neither Haith nor KA was the solution, and we'll have the same conversations about making a change again over the next couple of years until we finally pull the trigger. Too bad. KA is a True Son and shouldn't ever have been put in this position so late in his career where it will be remembered as his legacy to his alma mater.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconwah.gif)
