For whatever reason, receivers are getting smaller and dbs are getting bigger. I'm still trying to put my finger on that.

I havea theory, but I am not sure if it is right. For awhile we saw WRs that were small and quick thus we had smaller DBs. The WRs began to go big. They could out jump and out muscle the DBs so, the DBs started getting bigger. (I think Pruitt prefers bigger DBs) The thinking being the bigger DBs can then stay with the bigger WRs in jumping and muscle. Now we will see a trend go towards smaller WRs that have quickness to take advantage of a perceived lack of quickness on the part of the bigger DBs.

In my twisted little world it makes sense, anyway.

You aren't alone. You echoed deeprig's post, you just used a lot more words.

It is weird to picture a time when DBs aren't huge, hulking dudes, but if the cycle is real, it will be a reality.
