Shocking

I don't read too much into recruits tweets normally. Today, I can't help it. I just wanna believe for one day that all recruits want to be in Oxford

***Here are a few notes on 5-star, 2016 Calvary Baptist (Shreveport, La.) QB Shea Patterson.
1. He is one of 5 children and will be the fourth to have played college athletics. His older brother, Sean Jr., was a QB at Duquesne University. He has two older sisters, one played college volleyball, the other college basketball. His younger brother, Nick, is in seventh grade and is already 6-feet tall and was an EastBay Youth All-American last year as a TE/DE.
2. Shea's grandfather, the late George Patterson, played in the NBA. He was drafted in 1961 by the Cincinnati Royals and would eventually play for the Detroit Pistons. He was also picked by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1968 expansion draft.
3. Shea was born in Ohio, lived for a few years in South Texas and eventually settled down in Shreveport, La.
4. Shea is a shortstop for his high school baseball team and is considered by many as a draftable prospect.
5. Shea is an early enrollee, meaning he will be on the college campus of his choice next January.

That's why I looked up 40 times. Rodgers can be a duel threat and his 40 time is a 4.71. Luck ran a 4.67 and Manziel ran a 4.68. Shea has been clocked as fast as 4.65 (unofficial). Thus, he has dual threat potential. Great duel threat quarterbacks run out of necessity and not as a first resort.

Read that all earlier today on 247 and I was impressed most by a 6' brother in 7th grade. Hopefully, the family athleticism isn't lost on him. I doubt it and it sounds like that kid could turn into a great player in a few years.

One thing I really like to see in recruits is the family line of athletes. So often you hear of players having a dad or uncle or grandpa that played on some level. Love to hear it
