Who will lose a fifth star?

When you're a five-star prospect, you're a no-doubt guy that delivers every time you compete, especially on the biggest stage. In high school football, there aren't many stages bigger than The Opening. While there is no current five-star according to 247Sports that is in significant danger to lose a star, nobody is safe. If somebody lays an egg in Oregon…

My guess would be Willie Allen is one of them.

The best of 2017

There are more 2017 prospects than ever that will be in attendance at The Opening including the No. 1 prospect in the country for 2017. It would be highly unlikely that anyone would unseat Dylan Moses at No. 1 for 2017 based on a camp performance but there's certainly a strong possibility that he'll get some company at the top.

Already Moses will have fellow 2017 five-star Calvin Ashley in attendance but Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge defensive back Deangelo Gibbs and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver Trevon Grimes are nipping at their heels for that fifth star and both will have an opportunity to earn it in a 7on7 setting.

Other 2017 prospects that are in striking distance include wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, linebacker Markail Benton, running backs Najee Harris and D'Andre Swift, offensive guard Jack Anderson, offensive tackle Trey Smith and cornerback Jamyest Williams. If you're an underclassman at The Opening, you're already in the five-star conversation.
