With countless storylines in play, I take a look at a few of the most intriguing to me.

The five-star debate

Who will gain a fifth star?

To date, we've been very judicious with our five-stars at 247Sports. Currently the number is at 14 with more prospects moving out of the elite ranks than moving in. Obvious candidates to join the five-star ranks come from the guys in that 15-20 range like Eric Monroe, Isaac Nauta, Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson. But there are several names further down the rankings with the potential to make more dramatic moves.

*At No. 23 Landon Dickerson has the size and the nasty streak to be a five-star and in a padded setting, he'll have the opportunity to prove he has the ability as well.

*Oluwole Betiku at No. 28 is one of the most intriguing prospects in the nation. Only one year into his football career, Betiku is raw but remarkably athletic and his ability to take to coaching in Oregon could allow him to make a five-star jump.

*In a year loaded with talented smaller cornerbacks, can Trayvon Mullen at 6-2 emerge as the premiere lengthy lock-down guy?

*Without question, Nigel Knott will be one of the most athletic prospects at The Opening. He's also physical on film and makes plays in a variety of ways but he's limited in size. He's a candidate to really validate his growing hype.
