re: OT: Never be afraid to tell a friend you love them

Saddens me to hear about this man, prayers sent. Somehow I haven't had to deal with the loss of anyone very close to me yet, but a best friend is irreplaceable.

On the Friday morning of this year's GA/FL weekend I was in St Simon's with one of my best friends when he learned that both of his parents had been killed by a drunk driver the previous night. I didn't know him until college so I had only met his parents a few times, but they were a great family. Needless to say my friends and I were devastated and I can't begin to imagine what he was going through. I have never seen such an outpouring of love and support from a community as I did at the funeral service. He and his siblings are doing as well as could expected given the circumstances.
