College baseball may be worse than basketball when it comes to watered down product. At least the MLB let players go strait out of HS. I am a fan of the MLB rule....HS or three years in college.

But, most of the good prospects go pro.

I think I understand your point but don't really agree with the end result. Everyone that competes for the best players lose those players to the pros right out of high school. Some even back off of those players because they know they are going to go pro out of high school. But if everyone loses them then it's all relative and it still creates a competitive product. The exceptions to sign out of high school, I know Florida had a pitcher a couple of years ago that turned down millions to go to college as did a guy at Vanderbilt.
