CT is a center. Kerbyson did a good job at tackle despite the circumstances but he's made to be a guard and will be very good there assuming he gets to transition.
As for Blair... He showed up out of shape and had to play catchup on his technique. He'd relied on his size and athleticism and the technique was lacking. I think by mid-to-late-season Blair could've played but the decision was made to keep the redshirt on. His career in JUCO was similar to this - he was out of shape and not very good and then boom his second year he took off. If he follows the same path here we'll be good.
