A sincere answer from a christian who hates what we put out in theaters and on the radio...
the problem is that we try to be so "set apart" that it's not relatable to the rest of the world. so we make movies that don't have the hint of inappropriate humor or content and dumb down Christian lyrics to the masses. So we make something that's appealing to take our kids to because we know it's clean, but is wholly removed from culture and unattractive to non-christians.
case in point... take 2 of the bigger names in "christianity" in Hollywood right now. Kirk Cameron is just a blowhard meme at this point. Then take Zach Levi. Levi is very outspoken about his faith, but he doesn't make it so unrelatable that he's kryptonite. he does a lot more good just being a christian who does life than Cameron will ever do with his movies.
