Impossible to describe the turn of emotion. Once he fumbled, there was no doubt Auburn would win.

As far as the OP's question, any of the Iron Bowls mentioned (1972, 1997, 2010) are good candidates but I think the honor has to go to the 1984 Boston College game.

Kerry Goode runs back the second half kickoff to give Bama a 31-14 lead. He then blows his knee out in the third quarter and Bama watches Doug Flutie put up 24 unanswered (17 with 12 minutes or less to go in the game) to win 38-31.

Goode had IIRC right at 300 all purpose yards when he got hurt early in the third quarter. Once he went down, Bama went to complete shiat.
