Last time I checked Forbes had LSU in top 5. Money wasn't the issue. According to a few people in the AD it was his recruiting and lack there of. If he had gotten off his butt more he probably would have gotten everything he wanted but when confronted about it his ego got in the way and A&M ends up with a new DC

Try what? Value is relative to a culture.

I have seen Tiger Fans say that Les is overpaid. He would be underpaid in Texas, that is a fact. That Forbes list doesn't compare cultures, just bottom lines.

The data backs up my point- households in Louisiana make less on average so it would make sense money has a greater value there. We are both below the national average, but we are a few thousand bucks away while you are almost ten thousand dollars away:

Hence $1.5 million is worth less in Texas relatively.

What the AD thinks can be afforded is not the same as what fans think should be paid.
