Just because it's a zoneblocking scheme, doesn't mean a player isn't running right into linebackers. There are still lanes in a zoneblocking scheme. It's about choosing the right one (and time) to cut back into. I'm a Texans fan who watches Arian Foster every week. I know what a good zone running back looks like.

I still don't buy it based solely on what you have said and continue to say. Maybe I'm wrong though. Here's a good way to find out.

Study this list:

Terrell Davis
Olandis Gary
Arian Foster
CJ Anderson
Mike Anderson
Ron Dayne
Ricky Williams
Ronnie Brown
Gerald Riggs Jr.
Barry Foster
Willie Parker
Jamal Anderson
James White
LaMichael James
Justin Forsett
Kevin Smith
Matt Forte

Please rank these backs by vision and differentiate them meaningfully in what attributes of a good zone running back are their strengths. Quantify.

Thanks.

I watch very little proball these days. There about three guys on that list who I would be comfortable evaluating.
