If you see a thread on tRant that makes your blood boil and are about to respond, don't. Odds are it is a troll post. If it is not a troll post the other Ranters will clean it up for you. If some of tRanters see you are making posts emotionally in anger they will troll you into oblivion.

For your first 30 posts or so, stick to relatively benign topics that will give you a chance to get a feel for how tRant operates. tRant is advanced level internet and many posts have at least 3 or 4 levels of different humor or conversation going on.

If you know of a significant news story that is more than about 4 hours old check at least 3 pages down to make sure it has been posted, in fact it is best not to start topics early in your tRant career. Very little gets by tRant. Also, for pro-A&M information it is best to usually wait until it is posted by another poster from another school if possible and then respond. If you are posting something that is A&M centric it will be better received here. Once you are established though you will have more leeway.
