I disagree. OSU yes due to Meyer coaching there. If Tressel was still there, they still would be slow. Notre Dame is good due to the year they had in 2012. Once the coach is gone, back to mediocrity they will go. I don't agree with Wisconsin. Gordon is a stud, but who else?

part of the SEC west's problem IMHO lies in
a)the psychology and the let down of not being in the "winning circle" as it were. The SEC and the WEST specially play for the SEC title and the National title. I believe that when neither is attainable, the spirits dwindle. Maybe the coaches are not doing a good enough job with motivation.
2)Also, the strength is in the DEPTH of the division and the relentless week-to-week demand, so when you put them in Bowl games, you are always matching each team (which may the the 1 - 6th in the div) with another conference's best team and allowing 3 weeks preparation in addition.

Parity becomes more of a factor.

If we would match 6th SEC team vs the 6th "X" Conference team the results would be different...
in some cases, style also has a lot with it...I would dislike having to play GA TECH....have to re-learn a lot

3) As coaches move around, the SEC STYLE will be copied w its philosophy as well
