LSU's stats are heavily skewed by the 75 yard pass and 89 yard touchdown. The offense scored 21. LSU had a 100 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. LSU's touchdown drive late in the first quarter was their only good one.

It was an all around team loss, but the offense and the people in charge of it deserve most of the blame. One specials teams touchdown and two busted plays make the game look closer than it actually was. As unbelievable as it may sound, LSU's defense kept the game respectable. Imagine what the score might have looked like if LSU had Auburn, South Carolina, or Texas A&M's defense.
