That is a lawyer-ly perspective for sure. Also, does not explain fighting the cops. I am willing to bet that there is police video of that incident as well.

Fought cops? Never says that, resisted yes.
You're telling me he took a swing at a cop?

First let me say he blew his chance by getting into this mess and he should be off the team for tarnishing his prospective school.

However, speaking as some one who has been arrested many times and after seeing the video. Here's how i expect it goes down.

Swags friend is being obnoxious gets thrown out.
Swag talks to the bouncer trying to convince him to get friend back in.
Bouncer says chad can join his friend outside if he wants but friend not coming in.
Swag talks shite too bouncer, bouncer some how bloody swags mouth ( shove punch something).
Chad pissed off spits blood at bouncer.
Chad says ak47 quote while being thrown out.

Swag idiotically tries to talk to bouncer after altercation ( maybe a second bouncer)
Video starts
Bouncer crosses boundary and definitely is the instigator.
Chad defends himself with some solid punches.
Chad separated by people
Bouncer tells videographer turn that shite off.

After leaving bouncer calls cop like a punk because he realizes it was recorded.
Cops pull over the vehicle they left in.
Chad tells cop he didnt do anything, cop tells him to get out ( guessing he was sober, why wouldn't they add drunk and disorderly). Cop opens door chad resists, does not want this to become a deal realizing football would be in jeopardy.
Tries to talk his way out of it explaining he was punched first or yada yada.

Totally speculative but ive been in many similar situation back in college years unfortunately. A lot of these charges will be dropped...

And he may end up in oxford,
