sharing certain conference money's equally has nothing to do with socialism. college football is about as capitalist as it gets. "pure" capitalism has been proven to not work. the SEC is most definitely in direct competition with other conferences and having all of our teams financially strong is essential if we want to keep getting more bowls and NC shots. in other words, sharing TV money and bowl money brings in more money, esp over the long run, than allowing each conference member to get larger bowl payouts. ask the big 12.
