I mean they should have gotten a permit. Their stupidity doesn't make them hypocrites.

As you said, meh. I think it's terribly hypocritical to complain about laws being broken while breaking laws themselves. Or to complain about the state of the black community while doing nothing to improve it. Sorry, standing on a corner and buying a t-shirt with a trendy slogan isn't improving "black lives".
