Against common opponents Bama was better. Bama held the SEC champ to 0 pts and only 92 total yds

Laugh all you want dude...but if LSU had held West Virginia's passing yards to zero that year (they had 463) and Oregon's to zero as well (they had 240), Bama's pass defense ypg would have still been less...

I only mention the passing numbers in those games as LSU actually held both schools to under 100 yards rushing so that wouldn't have made much of a dent in the numbers...
