Many of those teams won the national title, but many did not.
Talent alone doesn't make a championship team. It's a necessary ingredient but it takes hard work, the right attitude, good coaching, and a little good fortune.

So two Bama teams combo Saban/Shula recruits and Phil Fulmer are the only teams listed from the SEC. I didn't look at the basis of the ranking, but this has to be flawed.
