My cousin has been recruited since his sophmore year. Basically what he did was go to the regional Nike camp. Then in the summer he went to as many open college camps as possible. At the open college camps, coaches typically flag athletes that they want to invite back for their closed camps. Check into a recruiting service to get your son's tape out. Maybe you can contact the recruiting coordinator at whatever universities you would like to see your son go to, however they are flooded with people trying to do the same thing. Also make sure your son keeps working out after the football season, one of the biggest things that helped my cousin was getting a trainer. Now I'm not sure what position your son plays, but my cousin plays linebacker. He was invited to Oklahoma's linebackers only camp and he didn't go. If your son is invited to a position only camo, make sure he goes.

Take him to as many camps as possible this summer. Train for the 40-yard dash. It's that simple. It's not a complicated formula. Really do wish you and your son the best of luck!
