Like I said, there is an article from AL.com yesterday laying out this concept, which I think is pretty compelling and matches up with everything I've ever heard on the subject. AL.com isn't generally an anti-Alabama publication, not that it publishes this information as factual.

Anyway, no, I don't have any hard evidence that one or more individuals with grudges ultimately led to the demise of UAB football. I do think it's pretty widely accepted that the BOT has hindered a lot of UAB's ambitions in the past, perhaps for good reason, perhaps not.
